    • Endorsement or Approval in Bilingual Education OR Current Temporary Transitional Bilingual Education Certificate (IL Type 29) endorsed in Spanish and with at least three years left in validity (excluding the 2 year extension)
    • Current LBS1 Certificate, LBS1 Limited (LD/ED), or Type 10 (LD/ED).
    • Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents
    • Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities
    • Ability to write & implement Individual Education Plans (IEP’s)
    • Ability to work cooperatively with support personnel on a daily basis
    • Satisfactory special education teaching experience

    • VACANCY : The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Bilingual Special Education teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year.

      JOB SUMMARY : The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for: working collaboratively with school staff to develop and implement effective instructional strategies in Spanish and English (as needed) for students with disabilities in the bilingual education program setting. Participate in projects to develop and sustain the bilingual special education environment for students with disabilities who are native Spanish speakers and who are in the process of developing English proficiency through differentiated instruction, consultation, and collaboration.

      QUALIFICATIONS :
      • Current Initial/Standard Illinois Teaching Certificate
      • Endorsement or Approval in Bilingual Education OR Current Temporary Transitional Bilingual Education Certificate (IL Type 29) endorsed in Spanish and with at least three years left in validity (excluding the 2 year extension)
