- Train employees on proper use of power equipment, human safety procedures, and company standards
- Evaluate an operator’s ability to handle a powered industrial truck safely in the workplace and certify employees
- Openly communicate with management and human resources to coordinate training, track completed courses and relay concerns
- Accurately pick and build pallets, including maximizing trailer space and avoiding damage in transit
- Audit orders for accuracy and quality
- Utilize technology to maintain the integrity of loads that have temperature requirements
- Maintain safety by operating equipment by OSHA standards, using required equipment, following evacuation procedures, and reporting hazards
- 1+ years’ experience working with power equipment, including power industrial and high reach trucks
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Effective communication in both English and Spanish

Note: This position requires at least one year of experience with all of the following equipment: power pallet jack, forklift and high reach forklift
As a warehouse trainer in our Ashland distribution center, you will oversee training for both new and current employees. In addition to the training responsibilities, you will work alongside other warehouse product selectors to fulfill orders to Wegmans stores using the warehouse management systems.
