      We are looking for a future R1 Associate who is a team player and passionate about making a difference in Healthcare. As a Billing Analyst you will co-star in a 12-16 person team within our Reimbursement Department that supports R1’s DRG validation and Charge Capture service lines. Your primary role will be ensuring our clients receive on-time and accurate invoices while maximizing their financial opportunity from R1’s solutions. The Billing Analyst will report to a Billing Manager.

      Every day in this role you will:

      • Oversee the monthly invoicing production and rebilling of claims (as applicable) for multiple clients
        • Forecast invoice total based on current trends / knowledge of client
        • Review accuracy of Billing Representatives’ work and provide quality feedback to in a positive and constructive manner
        • Generate and deliver accurate Client facing deliverables on-time
        • Manage client invoicing inquiries and work to resolve account discrepancies
        • As necessary, perform invoicing production tasks
      • Compile quarterly invoicing results for client business reviews
      • Identify and escalate Client rebill and follow-up trends that impact revenue
      • Lead Client invoicing methodology meetings and HIS/EMR system navigation trainings
      • Facilitate new hire training and mentorship for Reimbursement department
      • Contribute to the development of invoicing methodologies and contribute ideas to the application tool for enhancements

      To succeed in this role you must have:

      • 3+ years experience as a hospital patient billing and/or follow-up team lead (or higher position) where feedback to junior team members were provided on a routine basis
      • 3+ years of experience working with Epic Resolute HB or PB
      • Extensive knowledge of hospital rebill and reimbursement practices with Commercial, Government, and Managed Care payers
      • HS diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred

      • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including basic to intermediate Excel functions

      The US base pay range for this position is $40,305.57 - $63,822.00. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
