      Compensation:

      • In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

      Limited Time - $1,000.00 Sign-On Bonus (First half paid after 6 months and second after 9 months)

      Role Summary

      The primary purpose of your job position as the Billing & A/R Specialist is to provide billing and accounts receivable support for designated programs from the appropriate revenue entities.

      • Perform all billing data input, information tracking, error correction and follow-up for all assigned programs.
      • Perform all required data entry, file maintenance and follow-up related to the Electronic Health Records System such as “FamCare”, “Welligent” software system. Includes uploading documents and data as required.
      • Responsible for booking all revenue in the accounting software system and generate management reports to identify any non-reconciled claims.
      • Responsible for submitting all billing invoices and claims to the counties monthly and in a timely manner.
      • Responsible for collecting all invoices within 30 days or the contract terms and following up on a timely basis. Provide a report to supervisor and having action plan to resolve unpaid invoices.
      • Will at times provide technical assistance, interpretation, and guidance to the program staff in matters relating to the billing compliance of the designated programs from the appropriate revenue entities.
      • Assist the AVP of Contracts & Revenue Management with the analysis and preparation of projections and performance of the programs to ensure contract compliance and billing compliance in accordance with the contracts.
      • Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial data and client data information.
      • Work closely with Program Staff and Finance Department staff.
      • Maintain records of all government contract cash received to date and reconcile accounts receivable for all grants monthly, organize and file all grant wire transfers requests and other receivables.

      Qualifications


      • Two years of college or 2 years’ experience with billing preferred.
      • Minimum of (1) one year of experience in billing preferred
      • Knowledge of bookkeeping skills.
      • Experience in the non-profit environment.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
      • Knowledge of System Claim Billing and Submission.
      • Knowledge of Medical Eligibility and Third-Party Provider billing.
