      Marcum LLP is seeking a billing coordinator to join our growing and well-established national firm in our Melville or NYC office. This person will be responsible for processing and finalizing billings, budget management, maintaining and updating client information, and report creation.

      Responsibilities:

      • Prepare progress and final bills, and post invoices in the Firm’s time and billing system daily.
      • Interact regularly with partners and managers regarding their billing needs
      • Perform review of unbilled sales and production (WIP – work in progress), and work to clear it
      • Manage billings against budgets and realization targets
      • Serve as a knowledge source regarding billing, and reporting issues
      • Respond timely to inquiries (email, phone, in person) throughout the day
      • Prepare and analyze billing reports, communicating results
      • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
      • Perform general administrative duties related to finance/billing

      Qualifications:

      • Well-developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to be team player
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Desire and ability to work in a very fast-paced environment with ability to work extended hours as required
      • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
      • 5 years of relevant billing experience in professional services environment
      • Above average Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables required
      • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
      • Associates degree preferred
