What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assign payers to all claims in the billing system
- Perform revenue verification and qualifications for new, re-admit, and payer change accounts
- Obtain necessary payer or guarantor information from facility customers for timely payment
- Conduct eligibility verification with Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party payers
- Identify and resolve issues causing claims processing delays
- Maintain key documents in customer files according to policy
- Assist with other tasks as assigned to support organizational goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma
- Three years of medical customer service or claims processing experience preferred
- High attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize needs and work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
