What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage third-party billing and collections, ensuring timely and accurate billing of claims
- Process medical and NCPDP claims, identifying and resolving rejections
- Maintain quality assurance and productivity levels as defined by management
- Identify patient and insurance changes, processing Home Infusion/Nursing claims
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment
- Strong customer service background
- Knowledge of medical billing practices and payer reimbursement guidelines
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in collections or medical billing with a basic understanding of ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS, and medical terminology
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Home Infusion and insurance policies
- Familiarity with HCN 360 and/or CPR+
- Medicare knowledge of billing requirements specific to DMEMAC
