What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide efficient account receivable services to maximize reimbursement for member clients
- Accurately bill various payors, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
- Monitor accounts receivable, checking claim status, and resubmitting overdue claims
- Post patient payments and resolve credit balances while providing empathetic customer service
- Maintain complete and accurate billing records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; 2 years preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; some higher education preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing processes
- Experience with EPIC is preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinics (RHC)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with legal requirements related to billing and reimbursement
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
