What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide efficient and effective account receivable services to maximize reimbursement for member clinics
- Accurately bill various insurance types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
- Monitor accounts receivable, check claim status, and resubmit claims for overdue accounts
- Answer inquiries from patients regarding account balances and provide compassionate customer service
- Maintain complete and accurate billing and accounts receivable records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a similar role; 2 years of applicable experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED is required; some higher education is preferred
- Previous experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinics (RHC) preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Familiarity with billing and reimbursement processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with EPIC software is preferred
- Understanding of legal requirements related to billing and reimbursement processes
- Strong analytical skills for resolving billing discrepancies and credit balances
