What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary contact for billing questions from patients, clients, and payors
- Provide timely and professional support to clients and patients regarding billing-related issues
- Utilize critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to address billing inquiries
- Document all interactions with clients, patients, and payors within the employer's systems
- Assist with incoming inquiries and aim for one-touch resolution for billing-related issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in billing support
- High school diploma or higher (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Knowledge of CPT & ICD10 codes, medical terminology, and insurance plans
- Excellent telephone and communication skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet usage; familiarity with Salesforce or case management software preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in healthcare or clinical laboratory administration
- Experience in customer service, particularly in a patient-facing role within health or wellness settings
- Familiarity with insurance billing processes, including verification, authorization, or collections
