- Ensure that Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and LIMS-related applications functionality is implemented, maintained, and updated, to meet business and client needs. This includes configuration, function - effective sample and data management, problem management, change management and project support to clients.
- Generate and manage data reports, respond to data inquiries, manage client requests to update data.
- Train individuals on how to use/maintain LIMS and LIMS-related applications.
- Perform regular data audits.
- Relevant qualifications or recent workplace experience in biological sciences and/or IT e.g. Biomedical Science/Pathology and/or Relevant IT Tertiary / post graduate qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience with LIMS, experience in Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerApps and PowerBI.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organisational and relationship management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups as demonstrated by extensive experience writing manuscripts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and procedures and communicating them to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of project management and project life cycle, experience working on projects.
- Ability to problem solve, prioritise workload and meet deadlines, both autonomously and within a team in an environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a demonstrable commitment to provide high quality customer focused services.
- Demonstrated high level technical expertise and experience in data systems and management, data integrity, data extraction and analysis, activity and performance report creation, and benchmarking.
Employment Type: Temporary Full Time up to 12 months with potential availability of ongoing employment
Position Classification: Health Manager Level 2
Remuneration: $106,142 - $125,241 per annum plus superannuation

Are you looking for a Biobank Application and Reporting Specialist role in a clinical research setting? The NSW Health Statewide Biobank is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and versatile individual to join their team in a temporary full-time capacity. The successful applicant will be joining a team of scientists, technicians, researchers and managers to ensure the delivery of high quality and timely services to the health and medical research community in NSW.
The NSW Health Statewide Biobank is located on the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Campus in Camperdown, Sydney. The campus is a short walk from Redfern, Macdonaldtown and Newtown train stations as well as multiple bus stops. The many cafes and restaurants of Newtown's King Street are only minutes away.

What you'll be doing
NSW Health Statewide Biobank (NSWHSB) supports and enables world-class health and medical research in NSW. The Biobank Application and Reporting Specialist will report to the NSWHSB Operations Manager and work closely with the Information Technology and Develop/Operations teams at NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP) and NSWHSB staff including the Senior Scientist, Client Services Manager, Quality Manager and laboratory team as well as the NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP) Director of Biobanking and university research collaborators to establish and deliver research services and ensure continual process improvement.
