Job Description
- Req#: 17900
- Design and conduct computational and bioinformatics analysis of experimental data in areas of microbiology, bacterial genetics, probiotics, and pediatric disease.
- Develop strategies for applying structural and functional motif analysis to the contribution of host-microbiome interactions in the context of human health or disease.
- Support the analysis, testing and development of bioinformatics analysis pipelines for next-generation omics testing.
- Maintenance of computational servers in the Texas Childrens Microbiome Center.
- Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
Summary
This individual will be a highly motivated and dedicated PhD individual for a BioInformatics Analyst position in Computational Biology of the host-microbiome interactome. This individual will design and conduct computational and bioinformatics analysis of experimental data in areas of microbiology, bacterial genetics, probiotics, and pediatric disease. This individual will also develop strategies for applying structural and functional motif analysis to the contribution of host-microbiome interactions in the context of human health or disease.
