What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide bioinformatics services to assist in scientific problem-solving across various research topics
- Analyze large molecular datasets, including proteomic and genomic data for clinical or basic research
- Assist with data curation activities for scientific databases, collaborating with scientists and conducting publication research
- Support the management, integration, analysis, and visualization of data from diverse sources
- Develop custom scripts and software to automate scientific data analysis using Python, R, and other programming languages
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1+ year of experience working with biological and clinical data, especially in genomics, proteomics, or multi-omics
- 1+ year of experience in data curation, including cleaning and annotating raw data
- 1+ year of experience in bioinformatics data analysis, including running pipelines for large-scale omics data
- 1+ year of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for structured and unstructured data
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience building or querying knowledge graphs for biomedical data
- Familiarity with machine learning and natural language processing techniques
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with data visualization tools for presenting complex data
