      Summary:

      The Biomed Technician I will perform safety inspections and preventive maintenance inspection on all of the equipment that falls under the responsibility of the Clinical Engineering department. As competency is developed, this position will be given corrective maintenance repairs to complete. Maintains compliance with JCAHO, Federal, state, local standards and regulations. Supports the mission, values and strategic aims of Cook Children's Health Care System. This associate is expected to work under direct supervision and guidance of more experienced technicians.

      Education & Experience:

      • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school related to medical repair, or military training equivalent.
