      Job summary

      The Biomedical scientist role is to assist the Senior BMS and Chief BMS in providing an efficient and effective service within the Histology department. To ensure that scientific standards are maintained and that Clinic policies are adhered to at all times.

      Main duties of the job

      * To assist the senior biomedical scientists in carrying out the routine work of the area. * To follow policy and procedures at all times. * To process internal and external quality assurance. * To assist in the evaluation of new equipment and method verification. * To assist in the maintenance of stock control. * After documented training and competency assessment, to operate and maintain the analytical equipment and perform testing in the section. * To participate in all areas of routine and specialised laboratory bench work. * To observe the departmental quality policy. * To comply with the quality management system. * To undertake in-house audits. * To maintain an up-to-date awareness and knowledge of current developments. * To comply with data entry and governance requirements at all times. * To promote the smooth running of the department. * To be an excellent role model for junior staff. * To deliver excellent customer service. * To assist in the preparation of documentation. * The post-holder will participate in annual joint review.

      We have an exciting opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist to join our Histopathology Department. This role is a based in in our Harley Street Hospital. We are also offering a competitive salary range £37,797 per annum plus a fantastic array of benefits.
