Job Description

Maintain and repair medical equipment using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and simulators.
Perform calibrations and safety checks using test instruments (e.g., electrical safety analyzers, defib testers).
Document all work in the CMMS database.
Occasionally perform component-level repairs and soldering.
Work in various clinical environments, including ICU, surgery, and isolation rooms.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; AAS in Biomedical Technology or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1 year in electronics troubleshooting; 3 years in a clinical setting preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of electronics, test equipment, and safety standards. Familiarity with systems like nurse call and lab monitoring is a plus.
Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, CMMS, and vendor tools.
Lift up to 75 lbs; frequent bending, climbing, and kneeling.
Ability to remain mobile or stationary for extended periods.
Good visual acuity and manual dexterity for precision work.

Overview:
The Biomedical Technician performs maintenance, repair, and calibration of clinical and lab equipment to ensure safety and compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
