  Biorepository Technician

  Key Role:

  Conducts and applies health science expertise to science and technology client challenges. Applies specific functional knowledge, working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

  Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with laboratory quality systems and proper use of PPE in a laboratory environment

  • Experience with sample inventory management systems

  • Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques, including proper use of Biological Safety Cabinets, sample aliquoting, and sub-culturing

  • Knowledge of laboratory safety techniques

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling cryogenic samples and working with sample inventory management systems

  • Experience with working in a biorepository environment

  • Experience with working in a government facility

  • Knowledge of proper cryogenic sample handling and basic cryogenic storage system maintenance and repair

  • Ability to work within cryogenic systems safely and lift racks into and out of liquid nitrogen dewars

  Vetting:

  Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.

  Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
