Job Description

- Develops top-to-bottom architecture view of the relevant BMS software components
- Aligns software feature and function roadmap with marketing and lead customers
- Develops a deep understanding of future BMS product requirements, system architectures and use cases
- Owns SW requirements definition and interlock with development teams
- Successfully builds relationships with customers, partners, marketing, and development teams around the world
- Represents the NXP BMS software view and long-term vision at customers
- Understands how well-architected reference software can help NXP’s position in the best possible manner
- Education / studies: BSEE required, MSEE or MSIT-ESE preferred
- A minimum of 4 years of automotive software architecture experience
- Experience in systems and applications engineering
- Experience with Classic AUTOSAR
- Hands-on experience in microcontroller programming and embedded systems
- Experience with architecture modeling tools and languages (e.g. UML, Enterprise Architect, Cameo)
- Experience with ISO26262 process requirements and safety related software development tools such as DOORS
- Experience with continuous integration frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High degree of autonomy, self-motivation and business orientation
- Experience in working with car OEM’s and Tier1’s
- Experience in working in international and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required
- Readiness to travel
- BMS experience would be beneficial
As a BMS software architect, you will be responsible for driving the functionality and architecture definition, supervising the implementation and coordinating potential customizations of the BMS driver and application software. You will be directly interfacing with lead customers, marketing, product definers, software developers and validation engineers to maximize the added value of the software enablement and to ease the fast adoption of the NXP BMS product family.
