Job Description

- Plan and provide services that are appropriate and consistent with behavior goals contained in the student’s individual education plan (IEP)
- Create and assist district staff with the development and implementation of behavior plans (BIP)
- Compile and analyze data with regard to individual students/ classrooms, ARD/IEP decisions to assist with programming recommendations in the school, community and home settings
- Comply with and meet federal and state mandates and local board policy
- Provide recommendations and behavioral consultations to teachers regarding classroom behavior management systems including instructional techniques, modifications and adaptions
- Conduct functional analysis of behavior (FBA), generate reports regarding the behavioral needs of individual students including recommendations; summarize and review results with district staff to present to parent and school teams
- Support student services provided by the campus and district staff
- Develop and train staff members in positive behavior supports, classroom management, crisis management, conducting observations and behavior modification
- Develop materials and provide resources, professional learning and coaching to administrators, educators, para-educators and parents/guardians in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Crisis Management, verbal de-escalation, positive behavior supports and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior difficulties
- Assist, model and train campus staff in managing behaviors of students in crisis situations
- Supervision of BCBA Interns, including planning, training and assigning/directing work
- Master's degree with emphasis in psychology, behavioral studies, sociology or a related field
- Board Certification in Behavior Analysis
- Minimum of 1 year Experience working with and writing behavior plans for students with behavior difficulties including students with autism and other disabilities
- Minimum of 1 year Experience in school setting or with school age children
- Proficient in using Windows Operating System as well as Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing
- Ability to solve complex problems individually
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively within a team atmosphere

The Analyst Behavior Board Certified will provide comprehensive high quality support, training and services in the areas of functional behavioral assessment, positive behavior support plan development, verbal behavior assessment and behavioral consultation to address behavior needs of students in the student's least restrictive environment. The incumbent will conduct thorough behavioral evaluations and provide targeted, evidence-based interventions and strategies to campus teams. Assist district staff in addressing behavioral needs of widely varying individuals in diverse settings.Position Description
