What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to evaluate behavior, skills, and needs
- Develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine approaches
- Design and implement evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions tailored to clients' unique needs
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans while collecting and analyzing data on behavior and progress
- Educate and support parents and caregivers in understanding ASD and implementing behavioral strategies at home
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB
- Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and infrequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present information effectively
- Must have reliable transportation for travel to client locations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis programming with behavioral intervention
- Knowledge of current developments in behavior analysis and autism treatment
- Previous experience mentoring or supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
- Familiarity with crisis management procedures and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to engage with community resources and support networks for client integration
