      Radio One is looking for a Part-Time Board Operator to join our Indianapolis team! The Board Operator/Mutli-Media performs activities in the radio studio and control room to ensure technical quality of sound for programs originating in the studio, from syndications, or from remote pickup points.

      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Airs live and pre-recorded shows
      • Completes traffic logs and fixes logging discrepancies
      • Engineers’ remote broadcasts and follows station procedures.
      • Regulates timing of programs, operates syndicated programming, and plays commercials and promotions as scheduled
      • Helps anchor severe weather coverage or do live reports from the field if needed
      • Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reports into automation equipment
      • Helps find audio and writes copy for newscasts
      • Performs on-air announcements or shifts as assigned
      • Assists with remote appearances

      KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

      • Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
      • Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners
      • Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team
      • Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift/move up to 50 lbs
      • Be willing to work both nights and weekends

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

      High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six months of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
