Job Description
- Req#: 98678
- Create events based on the event’s goal and concept
- Coordinate event logistics
- Work collaboratively with various departments such as Facilities, Safety, and Security
- Draft internal communications for these events
- Recruit volunteers & participants
- Work the actual events
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Junior, Senior or Graduate level students
- Must be enrolled in a 4-year Degree program aligned with critical talent areas (i.e. Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong organization skills
- Detailed-oriented individual
- Microsoft Office (i.e. MS Excel (advanced, MS Word and PowerPoint)
- Ability to create presentations and public speaking (preferred)
- Collaborate cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Position Summary:

Key Learning Outcomes:
This project will focus on overall Employee Engagement, supporting site and cultural engagement by aligning groups and events to the company’s strategies.
The intern will be responsible for the planning of 2 new events: (1) Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Showcase and Summit and (2) an Industry Night at Florida International University, while also supporting annual events such as BDSI’s Summer Celebration and miscellaneous pop-up events from the Business Resource Groups (BRGs). This project will play a critical role and improve diversity and inclusion awareness, brand awareness and industry networking opportunities.
