      Description:

      • will be 1/2 of the finance and HR department. This company has a small staff with 4 salaried employees and 20-25 hourly employees.
      • The Accounting and Finance duties will be the vast majority of the work, but responsibilities include
      • Payroll Administration - weekly payroll (run on Tuesdays/Wednesdays) for all in-state employees.
      • Invoicing and paying taxes - all GL input/management/reconciliation.
      • Invoices are usually in the low 5-figure range ($10,000-$50,000), low volume (50 a month in 3 batches).
      • Check runs.
      • Insurance selection and management - answering questions for employees mostly
      • 401K administration - making sure all employee documents comply with regulations
      • HR responsibilities - filing workers' compensation, assisting employees with filing for and receiving benefits
      • Purchase Order monitoring - involving three-way matching
      • General Office Administration - helping to restock the supply cabinet when needed and other general administrative duties

      This position will touch HR, so someone with the following knowledge would be ideal:

      401K administration

      Workers Compensation

      Insurance selection and management

      Benefits administration

      Human Resources Compliance
