- Health and Wellness Services engages the community in interactive health and wellness workshops, support groups, events and resource fairs that cover daily needs including healthy living, COVID 19 and parenting.
- Community Outreach Centers (formerly walk in center). Our Outreach Specialists assess the individuals needs and respond with information, resources, and limited financial assistance.
- Food Resource Services operates a network of 20 food pantries (in partnership with parishes in the Diocese of Brooklyn). Our network helps distribute more than 3 million meals to 300,000 people. Meals include shelf stable items, dairy, meats and fresh produce. - Maintain orderly accounting systems for tracking multi-source funding/grants

Process check requests with backup documentation and record payments

Perform weekly fund reconciliation across accounts payable and databases

Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain electronic ledgers

Prepare required statistical and financial reports

Develop/maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls

Preserve complete financial records and statements

Distribute checks and verify vendor payments through invoice follow-up

Maintain funding source-required databases and documentation

Cooperate with all agency/funder investigations and audits

Implement quality improvement strategies with program management

Provide front desk coverage and clerical assistance (phones, mail, supplies)

Type meeting agendas, reports, and correspondence

Attend required staff/program meetings and trainings

Provide coverage across IHW sites as needed
- Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
- High School Diploma
- At least one year experience in bookkeeping.
- Experience including office management, word processing, data entry and accounting required.
- Bilingual English/Arabic, English/Cantonese/Mandarin, English/Spanish, and/or English/ Russian preferred
- Must be able to Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
- Able to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed.
