      Position Scope

      BFI is looking for a Boom Truck Operator to join our team at Syncrude.

      Site: Syncrude Mildred Lake

      Project: Firewater Line Project

      Hourly Rate: $47.14

      Shift schedule: 10 days on 4 days off

      Accommodations: Camp is provided

      Experience Required: Must have a minimum of 3 year experience running a boom truck. Experience working in a plant environment, experience with material management and working in congested areas. Must also be able to operate zoom boom.

      Additional Comments:

      • Successful candidates will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955
      • Benefits and pension are provided through Local 955

      All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

      • CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020
      • WHMIS 2015
      • Wildlife/Bear Awareness
      • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
      • Ground Disturbance 201 (Level 2)
      • Boom Truck Certificate
      • Zoom Boom Certificate
      • Valid class 1 Driver's License
      • Drivers abstract - must be a minimum of 3 years and within 30 days
      • Other certification may be required based on site requirements

      Successful candidates must:

      • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
      • Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
        • Breath Alcohol Test
        • Urine Drug Test
        • Fit for Work Test
        • Vision Test

      Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
