      This position will be assigned to _Hurlburt Lanes Bowling Center__ and is a Regular position with guaranteed hours. You are also eligible for NAF benefits such as:

      Duties


      Installs, adjusts, repairs, overhauls, and regularly inspects bowling facility electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, automatic score and foul units, automatic ball cleaners, hole bores, and lane maintenance machines. Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment referring to manuals for diagrams and specifications. Follows manufacturer's maintenance schedules but makes changes as necessary. Disassembles and replaces or repairs mechanical and electrical components or parts using soldering irons, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and other hand tools. Cleans and lubricates machines. Measures and regulates sweep of rakes on automatic pinsetters using hand tools and gauges. Runs automatic pinsetter through complete cycle and inspects for pinsetting accuracy.

      Conditions, maintains, and repairs bowling pins and lanes. Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters using wood and plastic lane stock, and sanding and recoating surfaces. Maintains required records and reports; initiates requests for spare parts, supplies, and hand equipment; performs general housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of assigned spaces.

      Performs other mechanical and electrical work to bowling facility as time and capabilities permit.

      Requirements


      • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
      • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
      • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
      • Must be able to satisfactory complete a pre-employment physical examination.

      In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.       Qualifying Experience: Experience in the maintenance and repair of bowling equipment which provided a thorough knowledge of the mechanical and electrical principles and operating characteristics of bowling equipment and standard test equipment, and the ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and manufacturer's service manuals. Must have knowledge in using computers and computerized equipment which uses blue tooth or Wi-Fi. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, climb, stand, and work in awkward positions.

      Condition(s) of Employment: Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.
