Job Summary

Responsible for preparing and loading shipping containers.

Essential Job Functions *

• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organized and safe.
• Use warehouse equipment such as automatic tape machine to safely prepare cardboard containers.
• Maintain warehouse equipment as required
• Accurately read labels to determine appropriate box size.
• Apply customer shipping label on cardboard containers
• Load and unload product from carts unto conveyor belt.
• Complies with Hillman Canada policies and procedures.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
• Support and follow the health and safety program.

Education & Experience

• Secondary school diploma or higher.
• At least 1 year experience working in a distribution center, an asset.

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Communication skills – written, verbal and ability to read and understand internal documents
• Experience using a pump truck considered an asset.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Experience with WMS (RF Scanners) is an asset.
