      Bellevue Youth Theatre is Hiring Box Office Assistants! The Box Office Assistant position provides back up support, customer service, cash handling, and ticketing services in our box office. This is a part-time position which will require day, evening, and weekend shifts.

      The Bellevue Youth Theatre is dedicated to providing theater arts opportunities for all young people, regardless of income or ability.

      Hiring Process: This hiring process will be used to fill multiple (3) openings.

      • This is a continuous recruitment and open until filled.
      • Only electronic applications are accepted.
      • Assist customers with ticket purchases and general questions about theater programs and rental inquiries.
      • Maintain knowledge of ticket items currently available to customers.
      • Collect complete and accurate data from customers when selling tickets and registering clients
      • Process phone and in person orders using our registration system.
      • Follow proper cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions.
      • Maintain a positive attitude and a genuine interest in helping others.
      • Assist with incoming and outgoing customer calls.
      • Ascertain and resolve customer concerns, requests, and/or complaints in a timely, courteous, and informed manner.
      • Answer questions about program opportunities.
      • Assist with night of show walk up sales and will call distribution.
      • Troubleshoot night of show customer issues in a professional manner.
      • Assist with Volgistics and maintaining volunteer accounts
      • Assist with volunteer reports.
      • Assist with maintaining inventory and archive records.
      • Attend all staff meetings.
      • Perform other duties as required.
      Supervision Received and Exercised:
      • Reports to Administrative Assistant.
      • Receives moderate supervision until trained and then limited supervision.
      • Attention to detail.
      • Customer service experience.
      • Strong written and verbal skills.
      • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
      • Works well independently and in a group setting.
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
      • Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population
      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Skill using computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during peak seasons.
      Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
      • Must pass a criminal background check.
      Physical Demands:
      • Work involves minimal movement, talking face-to-face and on the phone, primarily sitting at a computer station, reaching through the box office window with hands or assisting-device.
      • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
      • The employee may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 10 pounds.
      • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
      Definition of a Variable Employee:
      • Average weekly hours cannot be determined at date of hire
      • Hours may vary from week to week and are anticipated to be 10 hours per week with an increase during performance weeks.
