      Description

      Job Summary

      The Breakfast Attendant assists our guests efficiently, courteously and professionally during all guest encounters by maintaining a high standard of service and hospitality at all times. In addition, he or she is responsible for preparing and serving daily breakfast bar, greeting each guest and ensuring the guests are comfortable and overall satisfied.

      Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

      Job Knowledge and Responsibilities

      • Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar as required by brand standards
      • Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices from concentrates
      • Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand
      • Wiping up spills
      • Washing serving equipment and returning to storage
      • Returning reusable food supplies to storage
      • Keeping breakfast area clean including removing trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, cabinets and floors

      Service Orientation

      • Support guest service as the main focus of the hotel
      • Interacts with guests
      • Communicates special requests made by guests
      • Actively participates in guest service initiatives
      • Providing personalized service to all guests

      Communication, Collaboration, and Teamwork

      • Assists the housekeeping team with side work and laundry as needed.
      • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the pool/spa, restrooms, and fitness center.

      Planning, Organizing, and Accountability

      • Stocking coffee, juice and milk machines or dispensers
      • Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products
      • Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
      • Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated

      Initiative, Problem-Solving, and Decision Making

      • Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
      • Ordering or purchasing food supplies
      • Preparing and setting up hot food items
      • Restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day
      • Listening and responding to guests’ requests and complaints

      • Create a productive and positive atmosphere; have a good relationship with all associates and other departments.
      • At all times strive to represent hotel and brand in the most professional, courteous manner
      • Advise the Company of any actions/situations that pose a threat to any employee, customer, or guests.
      • Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly

      Job may require other duties as assigned.

      Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)

      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Experience Serving food.
      • Previous guest service experience.
