Shift: Friday - Sunday, 5AM - 5PM + available overtime

Location: Owatonna – Across from Walmart

Summary of duties:

• Sets up, programs and operates brake presses in accordance with outlined methods and procedures to safely and properly form various parts.
• Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Positions work piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
• Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.
• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
• Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Adjusts on machine and programs as required.
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
• Stacks, marks, labels and transports finished work pieces.
• May on occasion assemble subassemblies.
• Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production.
• Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area.
• Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements.
• Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand written English.
