Description
* Under direction from branch manager and assistant, provide prompt, efficient and friendly services to customers, involving receipt and payment of cash, and to recognize customer needs with suggestions appropriate to the bank's services
* Follow established policies in accordance with the bank's and supervisor's direction
* Ensure that each personal banker/teller balances and assist in locating any differences
* Ensure that all differences are properly initialed and, if required, reported to the manager immediately
* Accountable for personal achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management
* Responsible for the guidance, development and assistance of personal banker growth and sales production
* Sell and prepares money orders, cashiers checks, Bank-to-bank wires, savings bonds, travelers' checks and certificates of deposits
* Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population
* Ensure that appearance of the teller area and personnel are neat, organized and in accordance with bank policy
* Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
* Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time dependent upon branch location
* Operate a computer and other office machinery

Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Experience in production accountability
* Minimum of six months cash handling experience in a sales or customer service position.
* At least 18 years of age
* Ability to make independent decisions
* Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment
* Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy
* Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time.

* Familiarity with bank regulations and lawsNotice
