      The Brand Manager is the EMEA brand expert for the Acute Care Portfolio of our Medical EMEA business. Specifically the Stryker beds, stretchers and surfaces products out of our manufacturing plants in Kalamazoo and Kayseri. In this responsibility you set strategic direction and ensure execution for portfolio growth through development and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies, portfolio development, internal and external education strategies, and European customer engagement campaigns. Strong collaboration with the Sage Brand Manager to drive successful portfolio strategy, revenue and growth through the in-country marketers.


      This is a management position that contributes and achieves results through others. The role is responsible for managing subordinates in professional jobs or managing through subordinate managers / supervisors or is a leader of process that achieves results through others, whom are not direct reports.

      The role requires comprehensive understanding of the concepts and principles in their discipline. The requirement for a broader knowledge implies the need to understand other concepts and principles in context in order to resolve issues that have an impact beyond the area. The job has full management of a team, including management of people, defining roles and responsibilities, planning for the department's future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions or changes.

      Role will need to be in Amsterdam based on 80% time spent at RHQ and a minimum of 50% travel requirement.

      What you will do:

      • Lead a brand team of 2 associate brand managers and several in country marketers
      • Manage branding, messaging, positioning, and pricing of assigned brands based on market, customer, and competitive insights
      • Develope trust and strong relationships with Regional Sales managers, sales representatives, internal stakeholders and key customers (KOL)
      • Collaborate with the Divisional/Portfolio Marketing/Local Marketing teams leads to create Annual Marketing Plans for EMEA
      • Work with country leadership to forecast demand develop relationships with supply chain partners
      • Define and execute regional product life cycle including phase-in (launch) and phase-out (PLCM) of products
      • Provide analysis of business performance, brand perception, and other drivers of future brand performance. Define mitigating actions to deliver on strategy
      • Partner with divisional resources to develop portfolio through new product development, line extensions, and M&A activity
      • Partnership with Education Manager, identify internal training needs and create relevant content and training programs
      • Create Pan European, scalable customer engagement events such as facility tours/events/congresses, hands-on opportunities, and medical education programs
      • Lead commercialization planning of new product development in partnership with Portfolio teams

      Experience/Education:

      • Bachelors degree in Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Life Science or relevant field (Masters or MBA Highly desirable)
      • Minimum of 8 years of marketing & sales experience of which a significant portion is within Med-Tech industry
      • If coming from a purely sales experience, 2-3 years in a sales management role preferred
      • Fluency in English and another language is essential. French, German, Dutch or Spanish fluency preferred.

      Experience/ Skills:

      • Proven success in leading marketing projects incl. marketing plans, product launches and campaigns within healthcare industry.
      • Extensive knowledge of product management processes, planning and execution
      • Track record as contributor and marketing lead in cross-functional projects
      • Broad experience in supporting the sales force and customer facing activities in the field
      • Proven track record of analysis of key customer and competition trends
      • Proven commercialization of products to drive growth
      • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software is required
