- It’s Friday, Ya’ll – Have lunch on us! Get paid every other Friday, starting at: $25-26/hr
- Works in line with the defined and implemented HEINEKEN Safety, Food safety and Sustainability standards, in the Brewing department and local Lagunitas Brewing Company regulation(s).
- Contributes, applies, and follows Safety agenda in Brewing department. Assures removal of all the waste from the department premises.
- Is a member in safety teams, where safety tasks are executed and sustained at the required level.
- Makes timely supply of all raw, auxiliary, and cleaning & disinfection material at the place of use.
- Makes basic inspection of the materials to be sure that quality is not compromised.
- Monitors quality of the product & process.
- Executes 5S, Tagging process, CILT. Visual Management and applies problem solving tools.
- Participates in improvement teams.
- Operates and executes all brewing operational process(es) of one trained area (cellar, filtration or brewhouse) in line with the valid standards and operating procedures (in standard conditions).
- Manages documentation and reporting of the area of working till his/ her/their level of authority.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement activities and in case of deviations reports it to the Brewing Supervisor.
- Operates with all machines / process(es) in trained area of the 250/80-barrel brewhouse.
- Minimum High School Education or the Equivalent
- Preferred Formal training and certification from recognized brewing school (Siebel, Doemens, ABG, etc.)
- Preferably in beverage with operation shop floor experience:
- Working with a 50 BBL or larger brewing system preferred
- Working with a centrifuge and sheet filter preferred
- Ability to perform a variety of brewing calculations
- Strong working knowledge of CIP, COP, and sanitizing principles
- Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam generation and distribution, industrial refrigeration and sanitary process piping and systems strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
- Must be a Team Player
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of craft beer and the brewing process
- Ability to work with various computer programs including Microsoft Word & Excel
- Willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; acceptance of varying and flexible schedules · Punctual & reliable

- Reports directly to the Brewing Supervisor

What You’ll Get
The Gist
A Brewer 1 performs autonomous operation of one area of brewery: Cellar, Filtration, or the Brew house. In the cellar, the brewer is responsible for the key activities that bring wort to finished mature beer ready for transfer. While in filtration, the brewer is responsible for monitoring all aspects of beer centrifugation, filtration, and ensures the product is ready for Packaging. In the brewhouse the brewer is responsible for all wort in progress; monitoring automation software in the control room and communicating discrepancies with other levels of brewing management.
Applying safety agenda is the daily job, operate and execute in quality way process and product, while improving the key performance indicators and production losses. A Brewing Operator 1 at Lagunitas Brewing Company can be responsible for monitoring aspects of wort production in a Rolec 250 BBL / 80BBL, cellaring, or filtering facility. Focuses on CIPS and on building the base (actively using and embedding TPM as way of working) of SOP’s in one area of brewhouse education while improving business performance.
Schedule: Wednesday- Saturday from 7p - 5:30a (4x10hrs)
