    • BTS Arts Educator

      • Prepare integrated lessons based on the music standards and other core subject areas such as math, literacy, science, and social studies.

      • Collaborate with grade level teams to connect with student learning in other subject areas.

      • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences - this may include explaining new ideas and unfamiliar concepts with authority, and in a clear and concise way so that students can understand.

      • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

      • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.

      • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.

      • Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings.

      • Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.

      • Organize and lead the School Arts Team as defined by the BTS Arts Handbook .

      • Other duties and responsibilities as defined by the BTS Arts Learning Program.

    • USBE License Level: Associate or Professional.

    • USBE License Area: Elementary or Secondary Education.

    • USBE Endorsement: Associate or Professional in ONE of the following areas: Elementary Music Endorsement, Secondary Music Endorsement

    • Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary or Secondary Music Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.


    • BTS Arts Educator

      Position Purpose

      Provide Music Integration instruction supporting preK-6 educators at Rose Springs Elementary in accordance with Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program (BTS Arts) programming. For the 2025-2026 school year, this position will be supported by one-time Utah legislative funding; it is highly likely that state support will become ongoing funding for future years.

      Essential Functions

      Qualifications Profile

      Applicants must have a current Utah teaching license in Elementary or Secondary Education or have the ability to obtain a current Utah teaching license in Elementary or Secondary Education as outlined by the guidelines of the Utah State Board of Education. - https://www.schools.utah.gov/licensing

      Education

      • Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary or Secondary Music Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.

      Experience
      Successful prior teaching or student teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.

      FLSA Status: Exempt


      Contract:

      Part Time 187days, 0.5 FTE paid over 12 months
