- Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
- Oversee Agency and Center level budget operations, including budget formulation and execution, through coordination with individuals across multiple Centers and multiple organizations within each Center.
- Perform oversight, management, operations, and analysis activities designed to integrate products and deliverables into the overall NASA budget formulation and execution process.
- Support stakeholders by overseeing and managing organizations budget operation's, conducting financial review and analysis related to program operations, and providing financial advice and reporting for strategic decision making.
- Work directly with Agency and Center senior managers and Program and Project Managers in setting objectives to meet short and long-term budget needs and to establish activity schedules to meet planning objectives.
- Utilize internal NASA systems, tools, budget operations, and procedures to formulate comprehensive, integrated, and viable budget estimates for the current fiscal year and budget out-years.
- Analyze data from standard business systems (SAP, BOBJ, N2, etc.) to support the Center’s missions, programs/projects, leadership, and various project boards and Center councils.
- Monitor actual expenses against planned expenditures for obligations and cost, develop project expense allocations, evaluate long-range budgets for Agency/Center projects; and recommend/implement corrective actions to resolve budgetary discrepancies.
- Serve as a senior level expert analyst in the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems.

- Reviewing and coordinating budget records and preparing apportionments, allocations, and operating budgets;
- Monitoring, tracking, and/or reporting program/project commitment, obligations, and costs; and
- Projecting costs and analyzing workloads/trends for possible adjustments in plans
- Reviewing and interpreting budgetary and financial guidance and processes.
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting of budget formulation and execution activities for enterprise level, complex programs with multi-million-dollar annual value by reviewing and assessing historical financial data and trends;
- Developing budget estimates, monitoring actual expenses, making recommendations, and implementing corrective actions to resolve budgetary discrepancies using integrated enterprise resources management systems and tools; and
- Mentoring budget analysts with interpreting budgetary and financial guidance and processes.
You will serve in the Resources Analysis Division in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer as a Senior Integration Analyst supporting offices within the Space Flight Systems Directorate. The Chief Financial Officer directs the development, implementation, and administration of an integrated system of resources and financial management and manages all elements of the budget formulation and execution process.Duties
