      Job Description

      DESCRIPTION:

      This entry-level position involves constant daily interaction with couriers and other service providers, which demands an individual who consistently demonstrates empathy and courtesy to customers’ needs. This position will require some physical activity such as lifting boxes, pulling carts, and deliveries throughout the towers. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work to accommodate event set-ups.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Responding to 310-SERV requests, completion of minor repairs, and tenant requests

      • Delivery of construction materials to contractors upon request

      • Maintain inventory of interior and exterior signage, and marketing materials (easels, stanchions, etc)

      • Maintenance and repairs of signage, signage placement, and installation

      • Responsible for the set-up and takedown of events within the interior and exterior of Fifth Avenue Place

      • Perform regular inspections

      • Loading dock coverage when needed

      • Embody and support Brookfield Properties’ Safety, Health and Environment Policy.

        • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate hazards to reduce risk to the workplace.

        • Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely.

        • Take action to stop work if it cannot be executed safely or if conditions or behaviors are unsafe.

        • Immediately report SH&E incidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions, and/or at-risk behaviors to their supervisor; then diligently work to correct the problem.

        • Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Brookfield Properties Safe Work Procedures.

        • Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required

      • Other duties as assigned

      QUALIFICATIONS
      SERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS:

      • This energetic position, located in Fifth Avenue Place, requires an individual with superior customer service and good organizational skills. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

      EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

      • Previous experience in customer service is required

      • Experience with basic tools such as hammers, level, and power tools for minor repairs

      • Prior loading dock experience is preferred, but not required

      • Work independently and is self-motivated

      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

      • Efficient communicator and the ability to multi-task

      • Ambitious, energetic, and enthusiastic

      • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel

      EDUCATION / DESIGNATIONS / LICENSES:

      • High school diploma or equivalent.

      • Customer service courses are desired
