- Paint walls, touch up surfaces, Wall-mounting, light installations and basic repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with moving furniture or equipment as required for various projects.
- Furniture assembly, painting, maintenance
- Assist in managing the maintenance of the grounds
- Assist with special renovation projects as needed
- Proactive identification of areas needing attention for preventative maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintains a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees, vendors, sub-contractors and clients
- Holds self and others accountable
- Ability to approach problems logically, under pressure and seek innovative solutions
- Communicates effectively (verbally and written) at all levels within an organization and with external parties including enforcing authorities
- Understands the needs and perspectives of both internal and external customers
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- 2-3 years of painting and drywalling experience
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in repair work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients professionally.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
- Building Environment System certificate or a trade license (BES 1 and/or 2) is an asset
- 2-3 years of painting and drywalling experience
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in repair work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients professionally.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Building Superintendent/Handyperson will fulfill day-to-day tasks in a timely manner ensuring that the building operates safely and efficiently. The position also requires compliance with Black & McDonald codes of conduct, health, safety and environmental policies and safe work practices along with any client specific protocol.
