Job Description

- Maintains a clean environment in the wellness center.
- Provides equipment orientations as needed to members.
- Performs preventative maintenance of fitness equipment.
- Provides a safe environment for all members in the wellness center.
- Uphold the rules in the wellness center to keep all members safe.
- Check gym, locker rooms and multi-purpose rooms every 20-30 minutes.
- Check in with Front Desk and Lifeguard every 20-30 minutes.
- Report and repair broken equipment.
- Ensure that all entrances are clear of ice (salt if needed).
- Give building tours as requested.

- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma / GED required.
- Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications required within 30 days of hire.
- Highly attentive to detail.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position is responsible for overseeing and supervising all activities that may occur in the wellness center during regular business hours.
