He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Our Building Consent department ensures safe sustainable buildings for Aucklanders' and makes it easier to build compliant developments in the Auckland region. The department ensures there is a strong focus on customer-centric delivery and provides first-rate business services. The Building Warrant of Fitness (BWoF) process, as set out in the Building Act 2004 and related regulations, play an important role in maintaining the safety of commercial buildings and the occupants within.
In this full-time role, you are responsible for managing the end-to-end BWoF renewal process and providing sound advice to relevant stakeholders in the building industry. You will work closely with BWoF agents, Independent Qualified Persons (IQPs), building owners and the building control team on technical issues related to compliance schedules and BWoFs.
In undertaking this role, you will help ensure compliance with the Building Act and the safety of commercial buildings and the occupants within. This role may also include the creation and amendments of Compliance Schedules as well as providing occasional support to the Code Compliance Certification team.
