IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Registered Nurse (Rampart Clinic) PART-TIME Opportunity Located at Burning Man (Outside Gerlach, NV) We’re hiring Registered Nurses whose mission and purpose are to compassionately deliver high-quality service and patient care in a professional, discreet, and caring manner at Burning Man. These Registered Nurses, assigned to the Rampart treatment facility, will participate in the triage, treatment and discharge of patients presenting to the facility to receive emergency care. The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the treatment team by providing initial patient care and supportive care alongside the emergency physician team. The Rampart treatment facility, a Nevada Licensed Center for Emergency Care sees upwards of 2,500 patients presenting to an emergency room style treatment facility for routine and emergency care. Applicants interested in this position must be patient care focused providers looking to work in a high-volume clinical setting. All providers must work a minimum of four (4) shifts for Burning Man 2024. These positions are highly competitive and we do our best to respond to all candidates. Event Dates Burning Man is held the week prior to and including Labor Day weekend. Our clinic(s) will be operational from Tuesday, August 20th through Tuesday, September 1st, 2024. While you are not required to be present for the duration of the event, all providers must work a minimum of four (4) shifts for Burning Man 2024. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care. Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls. Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements. Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care. Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information. Communicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given, and to show compassion. Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed. Continuously maintain all required certifications, Paramedic, BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS Provider Certification (where applicable or required by contract). Document activities with regard to patient care and billing completely to ensure appropriate information is available regarding each call. Ability to work past scheduled shift with little or no notice. Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel. Reports immediately to the on-duty supervisor and/or account manager any incident involving a negative customer and/or patient interaction. Read medication/prescription labels and directions for usage in quick, accurate, and expedient manner. Communicate verbally with patients and significant others in various environments to interview patient, family members, and bystanders. Ability to discern deviations/changes in eye/skin coloration due to patient's condition and to the treatment given. Converse with dispatcher and EMS providers via phone or radio as to status of patient. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Adherence to and compliance with information systems security policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications: High school diploma or (GED). Background check Drug screen Current Registered Nurse Licensure as required by the State of Nevada Required ASN or BSN degree Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification NV Cultural Competency Training State Driver’s License Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Multi-lingual preferred. Physically fit. Event Credentials Meals and Housing: Housing: Housing is available for active crew who fulfill their shift requirement on a first-come first-served basis. A housing sign-up sheet will be distributed to confirmed credentialed team members after they have selected shifts. On-playa housing is provided through bunk beds arranged in air cooled Shift Pods positioned close to Rampart. Active Crew Meals: Team members will also receive three meals per shift in a medical staff only chow hall. On days where team members are not actively scheduled, no meal is available through the staff meal program. Additionally, staff will receive an access ticket to Burning Man’s staff showers after every shift worked. Event Credential: Team members who have submitted proper credentials and are scheduled for their required number of shifts will be issued an event credential by Burning Man.
