      Knowledge and Experience:

      • Must be at least 18 years old
      • Must have a current, valid State of Texas issued CDL license (Class A or B) a Passenger (“P”) endorsement or current valid State of Texas issued Commercial Driver Learner’s (CDL) Permit (Class A or B)
      • Minimum three (3) years’ driving experience
      • Must be able to pass Pre-employment drug screen and background check
      • Must have a stable work history and pass satisfactory reference checks

      • Ability to work in Indoor/outdoor garage environment in the presence of diesel fumes, dust and soot, paint fumes, high noise levels
      • Flexible work hour (may include night, weekends, holidays)
      • Must be able to work between the hours of 6:00 pm to 4:00 am and/or 4:00am to 1:00pm.
      • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions (outside in all weather conditions)
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Customer-focused with the ability to inspire your team with commitment and enthusiasm
      • Exercise good judgment and creativity in decision-making
      • Interact professionally with all levels of KTA/CapMetro employees, client representatives, and community member
      • Ability to identify and solve problems in a structured and analytical way

      Key Accountabilities:

      • Picks-up vehicle from designated parking/storage area and/or CapMetro facilities and property drives vehicle(s) to defined locations as directed, including transit center operations.
      • Charging Stations; connects/disconnects charging array(dispenser) for battery electric buses (BEB’s) for necessary vehicle rotation and charging of buses
      • Associated paperwork and data entry is required on a daily basis
      • Checks vehicle for broken mirrors or window glass, windshield wiper condition and operation, exterior and interior lights operation, and tire condition; notes defects on Zonar
      • Drives vehicle through bus wash and onto designated parking area. (at established CapMetro Division locations)
      • Makes vehicle changeouts, such as non-safety related road calls to any location within the CapMetro service area to replace defective vehicles
      • Delivers Metro Fleet to vendor locations and/or specific locations as directed.
      • Fulfills special bus request driving services
      • Performs other Hostler support duties as required. 10. Proven ability to work as part of a team

      Additional Statements:

      • Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must pass a physical examination.
