  Location: Warwick (Tachbrook Park)

  Salary : £35,000 - £40,000

  Type: Permanent - Hybrid

  Calor Gas is seeking a driven and analytical professional to join our finance team as a Business Accountant. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, critically analysing, challenging, and reporting on financial and operational data.

  What you’ll need?

  • Working towards/completed professional accountancy exams.
  • Relevant financial environment experience
  • Thorough understanding of management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting techniques
  • Strong ability to work with accounting systems, financial planning tools and spreadsheets
  • Competent user of the MS Office suite
  • Inquisitive with excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Driven by innovative problem-solving.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and seek continuous improvement.
  • Strong teamwork skills and confidence in your approach to work
  • Service-oriented with effective communication skills at all levels

  What you’ll do?

  • Business partner the business, analysing, reporting, and communicating financial performance.
  • Provide financial support, analysis, and challenge to the business, including decision support analysis.
  • Provide management information to key business stakeholders.
  • Independently support budget and forecast preparation with the wider business.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes and controls.
  • Prepare and review financial statements/reports for the relevant business area.
  • Review variances to budget/forecast and ensure actions are raised for performance improvements.
  • Participate in cross-finance and business initiatives to drive value.
  • Produce and communicate financial and other KPI information with non-finance colleagues.
