      What you will be doing:
      At the Business Analyst 1 level, the incumbent will work under the guidance of the Systems Security section lead to perform systems and user audits, configuration, and testing activities for administrative systems under the purview of the Division of Finance (DOF).

      At the Business Analyst 2 level, the incumbent will work on audits, configuration, and testing activities with minimal guidance from the Systems Security section lead. Working independently, the incumbent of this position will also be responsible for reviewing, entering, and authorizing all user security actions for the administrative systems under the purview of DOF. The incumbent will be expected to provide support for all areas of responsibility in the DOF Systems Security section and be able to serve as acting lead in times when the section lead is out of the office or otherwise unavailable.

      The incumbent will also work on special projects the section supports, such as robotic process automation (RPA) projects to input information into the State's accounting and HR/Payroll Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution and support efficiency initiatives like onboarding.

      In order to be successful in this position, our ideal applicant will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:
      • Good organization skills for logging and filing requests.
      • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
      • Ability to accurately enter data in multiple systems.
      • Ability to comprehend data from multiple sources and understand dependencies and relationships.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including understanding advanced formulas and functions.
      • Basic working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) select statements and queries will be very helpful for the successful incumbent of this position.

      Minimum Qualifications

      Two years of advanced professional experience in an administrative field such as procurement, accounting, human resources, computer and information systems, and so on.

      Substitution:

      Graduate or upper-division post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, business management, marketing, economics, statistics, computer and information science, logistics, information systems management, or similar coursework will substitute for up to one year of the required advanced professional experience (2.67 semester/4 quarter undergraduate hours equal one month. 2 semester/3 quarter graduate hours equal one month).
