- Elicit, analyze, specify, document, and validate the business needs and requirements of stakeholders, be they customers or end users
- Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods as appropriate given customer and project factors
- Take information gathered from interviews and other methods and turn into actionable insights and directional approaches
- Manage requirements and associated expectations of project stakeholders (to include internal, partner and customer sponsors and stakeholders)
- Identify and establish scope and parameters for a project based on requirements analysis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics
- Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements
- Provide guidance to the entire project team as needed regarding the developed application to ensure features and functions are enabled to meet customer requirements
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
- Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, wireframes, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
- Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that documented requirements are correctly interpreted
- Assist with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicate these back to the business stakeholders
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary. As needed, perform testing to validate requirements are satisfied
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, customers, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. When needed, solicit approval by the customer or stakeholder on affected requirements
- Demonstrable experience with performing analysis in a particular industry segment, including identifying major trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies to enhance or further leverage these processes within the team
- Develop and utilize standard templates as appropriate to write requirement specifications accurately and concisely
- Experience in a Business Analyst role, technology project coordination or management role, or related work experience
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
- Demonstrable skills across project development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall)
- Proficient in Confluence, Jira or other similar tools
- Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) or other similar business tool suites
- Experience working with online collaboration tools such as Miro, Lucid Chart, or other related tools
- Strong time management, communication, thought leadership, team building, motivational and customer service skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent client-facing communication skills both written and oral, along with strong listening, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
- Highly self-motivated and directed, a self-starter

- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and have ownership of learning new tools as applicable to help in the requirements gathering, refinement and management process

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, technology project coordination or management role, or related work experience

THE ROLE: Business Analyst
Job Summary:
As a Business Analyst, you will work directly with customers and stakeholders to understand, document and manage requirements relating to technical development projects. Presidio BAs work directly with the project team, clients, and partners to lead the requirements gathering and management process, to ensure successful project delivery within scope, and are expected to be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and project teams.
