      Responsibilities

      Berkely Professional Liability is seeking a Business Analyst. This role will be located in our Chicago IL office on a hybrid schedule.

      Partner between IT and the business teams to provide software application support related to business analysis, data analysis, quality assurance testing, and help desk support. Review, analyze and evaluate user requests, coordinate and monitor requests to a successful resolution. Elicit and document business requirements, create test plans and perform quality assurance testing plus provide training for implemented requirements.

      • Work closely with business users to understand their needs and identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.
      • Create user stories and other documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
      • Work closely with developers to ensure understanding and implementation of requirements and user stories.
      • Develop and execute test plans to ensure a functional application is delivered.
      • Participate in testing and validating system changes and processes meet business requirements.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by end users.
      • Provide training and support to end users.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelors degree
      • Five+ years of related IT experience
      • Ability to identify and create detailed requirements.
      • Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
      • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL server querying databases.
      • Detail oriented with strong analysis, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
      • Self-motivated to learn new processes independently, with little supervision.
      • Ability to work independently and with others.
      • Ability to take ownership, determine urgency of situations, and respond accordingly.
      • Strong organizational skills.
      • Occasional travel to meet with end users.
