- Data Modelling: Compiles and analyzes portfolio program level data. May develop and/or maintain complex data models for what-if analysis and for other business purposes.
- Metrics and Reporting: Tracking and development of Program level business metrics. Develops and maintains custom, ad-hoc reports, in addition to visual management materials based on lean methodology.
- Capital evaluation & Predictive Modeling: Develops or works with Program level capital finances and creation of predictive models to provide outlook multi-year outlooks using conventional and or statistical methodologies.
- Research: Research best practices; develops internal and external benchmarks in support of business decisions. Creates and monitors productivity KPI’s.
- Quality Assurance & Business Process Improvement: May perform assessments on effectiveness and measure quality against business processes and lead improvement activities in support of the business. Activities may include developing, managing or coordinating performance or quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.
- Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross- functional impact.
- Applies advanced data modeling and technical knowledge to wide- ranging issues.
- Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues using advance tools and concepts such as SQL, VBA, Power BI, Statical, Regression etc
- Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.
- Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives.
- Process owner of key reporting requirements and deliverables
- Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.
- Manages cross-functional initiatives.
- May provide direction and coaching to other Business Analysts.
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 6 years
- Graduate Degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics
- Broad expertise in what-if modeling analysis, concepts, methods and techniques and analysis of how different factors affect business outcomes
- Creative problem solving skills to develop solutions
- Strong analytical and writing skills to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
- Influence skills to effectively gain buy in from leaders inside and outside of the department Knowledge and understanding of key drivers affecting business results
- Project management skills to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
- Organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio or similar software

Department Overview
PG&E’s Underground Program organization is working to reduce wildfire risk each day as we underground 10,000 miles of distribution lines. We are responsible for working across all internal teams and engaging external stakeholders to support successfully meeting our goals and reducing wildfire risk in our hometowns. We work in an exciting and fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
Business Analysts are responsible for research, data modelling, Program Finance Appraisals, Portfolio Cashflow Evaluation and reporting in support of business decision making, business strategy and business operations. May also be involved in business process improvement, quality control and special projects and other initiatives.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. This postion will report to the office three days a week (reporting may change based on business needs).
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
CA Minimum: $108,000
CA Maximum: $173,000&/Or
Bay Minimum: $114,000
Bay Maximum: $182,000This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
