- Facilitates regular discussion on patient appointment scheduling workflow changes and enhancements with business operators and technical analysts
- Documents and maintains business requirements for appointment scheduling workflow and decision points for system build
- Prepares data analysis and reporting/workflow analysis based on current state design to highlight gaps in workflow design and build
- Recommends alignment of workflow with technology. Uses objective evidence to evaluate impact.
- Provides support for the development and implementation of evidence-based protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Supports the implementation of improvement plans and new initiatives as well as the promotion of sound business analysis and project management principles.
- Leads implementation of assigned projects and initiatives within the business scope and cross-boundary initiatives. Ensures assigned projects meet all business objectives and timelines.
- Escalates risks and issues impacting patient scheduling workflows in a timely manner to appropriate stakeholders
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
The Business Analyst leads and manages departmental activities to achieve Inova Health System's mission and strategic objectives. This role creates strong project momentum and builds stakeholder ownership and develops subject matter expertise on assigned core business areas, including but not limited to, feasibility analysis, technical guidance, thorough understanding of available software, data analysis/reporting and workflow analysis is of vital importance. Identifies, documents, measures, monitors and recommends improvements to automated and non-automated business processes, in collaboration with stakeholders.
This role reports up to the Ambulatory leadership and is an operations facing role. The individual will support maintenance and optimization of patient appointment scheduling workflows, both from an overarching business process and technical understanding of the system configuration in EPIC.
Schedule: Monday - Friday ; Remote Role

Certification - EPIC Cadence certification preferredExperience - Decision Trees experience is preferred
Education - Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
