      Position Summary

      We are seeking a detail-oriented entry level Business Analyst for a 6-month contract to support Hitachi America’s high-performing Business Development and Growth team. This role will assist in conducting market and competitive research, managing Salesforce CRM workflows, tracking key business metrics, and enabling cross-functional insights to drive growth initiatives. Reporting to the Chief of Staff / Head of Operations, the ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, strategic environment.

      Responsibilities:

      • Support day-to-day Salesforce CRM activities including data entry, reporting, user support, and maintaining data accuracy

      • Generate reports and dashboards to track sales pipeline, customer interactions, and business development KPIs

      • Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research on target industries, competitors, and customer segments

      • Assist with analysis of growth and strategy initiatives, partnerships, and strategic planning efforts, including analysis of macroeconomic trends and data analysis

      • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and support operational improvements

      • Document business processes and support project coordination for internal growth initiatives

      • Help prepare presentations and briefing documents for executive leadership

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field

      • 1–2 years of relevant work experience preferred

      • Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce (certification or admin experience a plus)

      • Experience with MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel

      • Strong market research skills; comfortable working with data in Excel or similar tools

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

      • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment

      • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Salesforce) preferred

      • Understanding of business development or sales processes preferred

      • Exposure to market intelligence or competitive analysis tools preferred

Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
