Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs.
Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design/reporting and testing.
Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.
Identify and manage third-party liability (TPL) or coordination of benefits (COB) cases reported by CMS, providers, or members.
Perform outreach and recovery efforts to Third Party Administrators.
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 3 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Medicare and Medicare claims processing experience.
Strong analytical, technical, and creative problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand, and communicate complex issues and trends.
Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.
Possess strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Expertise within the MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access preferred.

Schedule: This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days in office per week. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.
The Business Analyst II is responsible for identifying Medicare or Medicaid improper payments based on claims processing guidelines as well as analyzing data and auditing all types of claims. Research, resolve, and provide areas of improvement.
