Job Description

- This is a Remote position, but the client prefers candidates from the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
- Work Hours: Monday-Friday (40 hours a week).
- The candidate is open to attending occasional on-site sessions in New York City, if the client requires travel.
- Conduct stakeholder and end-user interviews across multiple departments
- Analyze current workflows across systems such as Galaxy, Extended Use, and FAMIS, and define optimized future-state processes
- Translate findings into user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and business requirements documents
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and product managers throughout the Agile development lifecycle
- Validate user requirements through iterative feedback, wireframe review, and usability sessions
- Support the planning and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring deliverables meet stakeholder needs
- Assist in backlog grooming and prioritization of feature requests in coordination with the client's product owners
- Ensure all requirements consider the client mandates for accessibility, security, and data transparency
- Maintain project documentation, workflows, and traceability matrices
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (required)
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in digital transformation projects
- Strong experience documenting workflows, creating functional requirements, and translating stakeholder needs into technical deliverables
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and methodologies
- Public sector or education sector experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, FERPA, and data compliance a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work remotely while collaborating with cross-functional teams
